Andrea Burelli, Lucio Capece, André Vida – Expanded Poetry

For the concert at Yellow Solo, Andrea Burelli, Lucio Capece and Andre Vida collaborate in a performance that interweaves expanded poetry, improvised practice and electroacoustic research. Burelli explores the intersection between composition and text through voice and processed sonic material; Capece develops a practice of sound spatialisation, activating an environmental amplification system that reshapes the perception of space, and Vida extends his research of the materiality and physicality of the present moment.

Lucy Railton – A Short Verse

Lucy Railton performs a new piece for cello and possibly more.

ANDREA BURELLI is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin, originally from Venice, Italy. She works as a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist, visual artist, and radio host. In her current artistic practice, she explores the intersection between composition and expanded poetry, unfolding across vocal performance, electroacoustics, processed sonic material, analog sound synthesis and video.
FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST

LUCIO CAPECE is an Argentine musician and composer based in Berlin. He strives to create works that focus on perception and on physical, social, and spatial experiences; he performs these primarily as a solo artist or through occasional collaborations. He uses tools such as propeller-driven flying speakers, analog synthesizers, sine waves, and noise generators, as well as the instruments he has been playing for 25 years: the bass clarinet, the soprano saxophone, and the slide saxophone.
FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST

ANDRÉ VIDA is a saxophonist, composer and writer living in Berlin. He creates performance pieces developing presence through the materiality of sound, physical gesture and the moment. Vida performs widely as a soloist and has collaborated with a diverse group of artists from many creative disciplines.
FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST

LUCY RAILTON is a Berlin based British cellist, composer, cross-disciplinary collaborator whose practice reflects an endlessly innovative and restless approach to the cello and artistic self-expression.
